Pic Of The Day: Sun Shines On The Seal At The Veteran’s Memorial, But Only On Veterans Day

Every Veterans Day (November 11) at the Anthem Veterans Memorial, the sun’s rays pass through 5 pillars and shine onto the Great Seal of the United States at exactly 11:11 am.

Located in Anthem, Arizona, the Anthem Veterans Memorial is dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of the men and women who serve in United States armed forces. The monument is comprised of five pillars ranging in height from 6 ft to 17 ft tall. The five pillars represent the unity of the five branches of the United States military serving steadfast together.

The bricks used to pave the memorial are inscribed with the names of U.S. servicemen and women, symbolizing the ‘support’ for the Armed Forces. The bricks are red, the pillars are white, and the sky is blue, which adds up to a great representation of the American flag. USA all the way!
